Production process: The grapes used to make Moscato, as well as Zibibbo grapes, are harvested late than normal. This process will give a deeper color, slightly darker than normal wines made from white grapes. In addition, Moscato is made from grapes slightly dried on plant, which will give a sweet and very particular taste to this wine that leaves the palate a unique taste experience. Another curious peculiarity of Moscato is that, for the production, a process called “Mistella” is used, where the must is not fermented.
In fact, after the crushing is added alcohol, which is called ‘brandy’, to block the fermentation.
