Grapes are picked up lately in the season to create a dark color and smoothtaste. It’s not filtered to maintain as much flavors as possible.
Lanni offers a complex bouquet of ripe red fruits such as cherries, plums and blackberries, along with spicy notes of black pepper, licorice and sometimes tobacco. In the mouth it leaves a more particular and round taste than the usual red wines. This peculiarity is given by the aging done in casks used to refine previously fortified wines. Lannì is a wine originating from the Alagna cellars.
Like all red wines it goes perfectly with grilled red meats, braised meats and roasts. The tannins of the wine help to cut the richness of the meat, enhancing the flavors, drying the salivation given by the chewing of red meat. It will therefore create a remarkably pleasant contrast that will not easily forget the unique taste of Lannì wine.
In conclusion, Lanni represents an excellence of Sicilian viticulture, combining tradition and innovation to offer a wine of great character and quality. With its complex aromatic profile and its versatility in gastronomic combinations, it is ideal to accompany a wide range of dishes and to be appreciated on different occasions.
