Vermouth, in particular red Vermouth with Nero d’Avola grapes, is made using a selection of aromatic herbs, spices and local roots, which give the liqueur a distinctive and complex character. Herbs are harvested by hand in the Sicilian countryside, then carefully selected and infused into neutral alcohol to extract their unique aromas and flavors. This blend is then enriched with the addition of base wine, sugar and other secret ingredients, thus creating an enveloping and irresistible elixir.

Vermouth has deep roots in Sicilian culture, dating back to ancient Rome and continuing to thrive in the heart of the island over the centuries. Sicily, with its wealth of aromatic herbs and spices, offers a fertile ground for the production of this unique aperitif. The influence of the different civilizations that have crossed the island throughout history has helped to create a rich and varied tradition of production of Vermouth in Sicily.

Vermouth enchants the senses with its complex and balanced flavour profile. The nose opens with notes of fresh citrus, aromatic herbs, exotic spices and a slight sweetness. In the mouth, it reveals a pleasing combination of bitterness, acidity and sweetness, with a persistent and satisfying finish. The Vermouth is perfect to enjoy alone as an aperitif, but also lends itself beautifully to a wide range of classic and contemporary cocktails.
Vermouth is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a variety of ways in cooking and mixology. Add a splash of Vermouth to your sauces to flavor them, or use it to marinate meat and fish before cooking.

The ANGILERI line is a selection of the most representative wines from the Marsala region, made with the finest grapes from the hilly inland of Marsala.

This line is dedicated to Vitalba Angileri, wife of Ercole Alagna, who actively manages her family’s vineyards.
